LIFE OF A HOUSEGIRL

The moment she steps in to the house

Madam goes on sabbatical leave

And becomes the Idi Amin of her Uganda

She no longer have her voice

As she’s  now a prisoner of diplomatic decorum

She automatically turns a celeb

As her name becomes the song in everybody’s mouth

Everything she do must be right

Even if she is not alright

She wakes up early in the morning

While madam enjoys early morning

Football match

And sleeps late in the night

Because everything must be in place at night

She is in a bigger trouble if oga at the top

Is of 2face genealogy

Then her troubles become two edged sword

She must satisfy mommy in the kitchen

And daddy in the other room

While thinking of her family

Back in the village

Oh what a life of a housegirl

If daddy and children should like her more than mommy

Then she is a witch

And thereby sent back to village
